While an exclusive facility for equestrians seeking excellence; we are a small barn (11 stalls) with an   intimate "at home" atmosphere.

Every horse and rider is afforded personal attention combined with exceptional daily care and top-notch professional training. 

To insure quality horsemanship at First Call Farm, the monthly board includes the cost of one riding lesson each week.  If unable to attend, a lesson may be exchanged for a training session for your horse.

First Call Farm surrounded by farmland on all sides, is located outside the city of Davidson in north Mecklenburg County. Conveniently, we are only jogging distance from the Davidson College campus. Easily  within twenty minutes of four neighboring cities Huntersville, Moorsesville, Concord and Charlotte.

        
Stalls are well-ventilated, rubber-matted and kept deeply bedded.  They are immaculately cleaned every day.

Quality grains are fed up to 3 times daily. Unlimited hay [orchard grass, timothy, alfalfa mixes] is always available.  Water receptacles are regularly scrubbed and filled daily.

• Owner-provided supplements added to feed at no charge.
• Private or small groups of horses are turned-out for a minimum of 8 -10 hours per day [weather permitting].
• Cross-ties are provided in each boarder's stall, as well as two water buckets, a corner feeder and a blanket bar.  A saddle rack and bridle hook are located just outside or on nearby grooming pads.
• Two wash stalls with hot water during the winter months.
• Fly control activated during spring, summer and early fall.
• Separate boarder's tack room.
• Exceptional footing in the lighted arena consists of crushed rubber nuggets mixed with washed creek sand.
• A complete course of 12+ regulation fences allows for hunter, equitation and jumper training.
