Horse Shows
Training:
Training horse/rider on any non-showing day - $50*
Training horse/rider on competition days & at ringside - $75*
Lodging:
Trainer's lodging expenses are split equally by the number of clients showing.
I encourage all clients to try to book motel rooms together. Often group rates are offered, PLUS all of the kids can hang together at the pool or restaurant when not showing!
No mileage or meal expenses incurred by clients at shows
* Training at horse shows for outside clients AND for clients who do not use transportation provided by First Call Farm - ADD $25 per day
Transportation: $1.50 per loaded mile ($0.75 per unloaded mile may apply in certain instances).
Transporting show horses requires skill and expertise. Care is taken in slow moving or stop and go traffic, and especially in cases of emergency. If you are not familiar with how to adjust speed or how to brake suddenly while hauling horses, don't buy a trailer. Extracting a horse that is pinned or trapped in a trailer is not for the novice horseman, nor is re-training your horse to load and travel safely after a bad experience, for the non-professional.
I may not always be able to verbally remind every client of farrier or verterinarian appointments, but the routine visits are always posted on the DRY ERASE board in the center aisle of the barn.
By summer of 2009, important announcements will be posted on the website and emailed to clients.
